A special place, a hidden gem and a must try! The owners are wonderful and treat you like old friends. The entire staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. A few weeks ago I mentioned I wished I could try more of their menu items but I am restricted due to a gluten allergy, Mentor walked away and within minutes returned to say he just ordered gluten free flour and breadcrumbs, since everything is made to order this gesture made the available options for gluten free diets endless!! We have been back weekly since! 5 stars are not enough!

Great find. We had originally planned to go elsewhere but found out last minute that the intended restaurant was closed for an event. Food here was great. They start you out with plenty of fresh, rustic bread and olive tapenade, which they refill upon request. We next got oysters on a half shell and calamari as appetizers. Oysters were fresh. The calamari was fresh but just slightly overcooked- it was the only part of the meal that was not excellent. The dipping sauce was great. For dinner my partner got the pasta carbonara- which I sampled and it was great. I got the special- chicken wrapped spinach and melted fontina- it was a special but tasted amazing. We finished with a chocolate mousse cake, which was delicious. In addition to the meal, service was spot on. We did not have to wait around to be serviced, and service was generally quick. Overall, this was a repeat worthy experience.

West Milford is lucky to have this little gem in their neighborhood. Delicious food, fantastic service. The bread was warm and tasty. Recommend the meatball appetizer and the tortellini carbonara.

Loved every aspect of this gem of a restaurant in West Milford. They get all of it right. You are greeted like an old friend when you arrive. The service is fantastic with great recommendations. And each dish we had was delicious. From the beet and goat cheese salad as well as the wedge to the halibut and chicken special. We finished with a wonderful tiramisu. I’m so glad my friends Carter and Roger brought us here. I will definitely be back!

UPDATE! Our waiter Tony is awesome! Tried the Gian Dory (requested without mussels, able thru acquiesed) and it was delicious! BEST OF ALL, THEY LISTENED TO MY REQUEST AND THEY NOW SERVE SPAGHETTI! YAY! LOVE THESE GUYZ!.. (PREVIOUS POST=The oysters rockefeller, arugula salad and chicken piccata were delicious! I really wish they will someday have spaghetti but they had the cappelini which I prefer as I don't like LINGUINI) . The ITALIAN BREAD IS AWESOME as is the Olive Tapenade, I love Italian BREAD! Tall Mentor is very welcoming and hilarious and Meti, our waiter is very attentive and fun! Will definitely dine here again and again!

Definitely one of our favorites in West Milford. Tasty food with great service. Had the chicken Gorgonzola. Some of my other favorites are the chicken parm and halibut (when on special) or salmon.

Best meal I have had in years! This is, hands-down, my new favorite restaurant. Everything was phenomenal. The food, the service, the ambiance. It was all outstanding. I started with the oysters which were soooo good. Then I had the scallops special, which was pan seared scallops with spinach and roasted potatoes. It blew my mind. I don’t know what they season their potatoes with but OH MY GOD. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the sauce was incredible and even the spinach was fantastic. Finished off the meal with a chocolate mousse cake and a cappuccino and they did not disappoint!!! The owner and the servers were so friendly, generous, and attentive! They went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience. I was dining alone and the owner and one of the servers, Katie (who was so lovely to talk to!) took extra time to talk to me. I truly appreciated their kindness. And I never felt rushed. Everyone was so welcoming and the pricing is very reasonable! I cannot wait to go back! If I could give more stars I absolutely would!

We ordered take out tonight from here and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!! I love chicken parm and I order it from various restaurants in town here. So when I ordered tonight and they didn’t ask me what I wanted with it or what I wanted it over I was kind of surprised. So after I hung up I was thinking well I guess I’ll find out what goes with the food when I pick it up. To my WONDERFUL SURPRISE I got the most tender and delicious chicken parm with a few roasted potatoes and fresh broccoli. That’s it!! And it was wonderful because I am one of those people who 9.5 out of 10 times don’t eat the pasta that the dinner is usually over. So the fact that it was prepared exactly how I want it and I didn’t have to explain that I don’t want it over pasta. If you are like me in this regard, you will NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED with this restaurant! Please keep in mind that the restaurant did not skimp out on the chicken portion, there was several pieces of chicken in there as well as the aforementioned potatoes and broccoli.
